Volleyball has five named to All-Conference team; two named to First Team

Springfield, Mo. – The Evangel University volleyball team had five players named All-Heart of America conference
performers in a vote of league coaches and two players were announced as First Team selections.

Seniors Kaley Lyons and Shana Ramsey were both named First Team All-HAAC in vote of league coaches.

Lyons, Middle Hitter from Springfield-Glendale, is the first Evangel player to ever be named a First Team all-conference selection in all four years of her career and is only the second player in team history to win all-conference honors all four years. She led the conference with 4.1 kills per set, was second in the league with a .303 hitting percentage and she was fourth in blocks averaging 1.0 per set.

Ramsey, a Middle Hitter from Republic, earned honors after finishing third in the conference in hitting percentage at .296, her 2.6 kills per set was tied for 8th in the league and she was tied for ninth in blocks with 0.8 per set.

Micah Cribbs (Fr., Outside Hitter, Bolivar) was named a Second Team All-Conference selection. She was seventh in the league with 39 service aces and she averaged 2.3 kills per set which was 15th best in the HAAC.

Mallory Sidwell (Jr., Libero, Springfield-Glendale) was also a Second Team selection. It marked her third all-conference award having been named as a honorable mention pick as a freshman and a second team pick last year. She was seventh in the conference in digs averaging 4.2 per set.

Haley Watson (Fr., Outside Hitter, Mountain Grove) was named an honorable mention all-conference selection.

The Crusaders finished the season 22-14, 7-2 in the Heart of America conference finishing in third place.
