Crusaders play first HAAC road game:

Evangel is on the road in the conference for the first time Saturday as they travel to Benedictine.

The Crusaders, ranked 21st in the NAIA, will look to bounce back for a loss in the Heart of America conference opener on Thursday when they lost 59-56 at home to Central Methodist. Evangel is 7-3 overall this season and have suffered back-to-back losses for the first time all year having fell at #2 Oklahoma Baptist 79-65 on Nov. 24 and to the Eagles on Thursday.

The Ravens are 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the HAAC after their 61-44 win over Graceland on Thursday. Benedictine has won seven of their last eight after a season opening loss at Missouri Baptist on Nov. 3. Their only loss since then was a Nov. 21 loss at home to 2nd ranked Oklahoma Baptist 54-51.

The two teams split two meeting last year with the home team winning both times. Evangel won at home 62-36 at the Ashcroft Center on Dec. 3 and lost at Benedictine in 63-62 in overtime on Jan. 28.
