Men's basketball bounces back with 71-58 win at Benedictine

Game Summary

Atchison, Kan. – Evangel forced 24 Benedictine turnovers in a 71-58 win over the Ravens Saturday in Atchison, Kan.

Evangel led 31-26 at halftime and outscored the Ravens 40-32 in the second half.

The Crusaders had two players come off the bench to score in double-figures as Victor Agbasi had 15 points to lead Evangel and Josh Veurink scored a career high 11. Jayme Donnelly had 11 points and added six steals.  

Benedictine’s John Harris, Jr. led all scorers with 17.  

The Crusaders improved to 8-3 and 1-1 in the Heart of American conference. Benedictine dropped to 7-3 and 1-1.  

Evangel returns home Tuesday to face Baker in a conference game. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. at the Ashcroft Center.
