Springfield, Mo. – For the second year in a row Evangel University Athletics will team up with the Salvation Army as part of their Red Kettle Campaign.
More than 200 student-athletes, coaches and athletic administrators will volunteer as bell-ringers at each of the 16 Battlefield Mall entrances throughout the day on Friday, Dec. 7.
Last year, Evangel Athletics helped raise $1,793.02 for the Salvation Army in their day of work at the mall and it marked
the highest total raised by any organization that volunteered for the local Salvation Army in the 2011 Holiday season.
The partnership with Evangel Athletics and the Salvation Army is coordinated by The Evangel Athletics Ministry (T.E.A.M.)
and their director, Chad Gehring. T.E.A.M. was established in 2009 and has created opportunities for student-athletes to participate in international service trips and to serve local agencies.
