Sixteen Fall sports athletes named NAIA Academic All-American

Springfield, Mo. – Evangel University had 16 athletes participating in Fall sports named NAIA Academic All-Americans. To achieve the honor, student-athletes must have between a 3.5 to 4.0 cumulative grade point average and be at least a junior in academic status.

Each of Evangel’s four Fall sports featured more than one representative:

Women’s Cross Country: Victoria Schmitt (Poseyville, Ind.), Jocelyn Green (Brea, Calif.), Jessica Bear (Springfield, Mo.), Kaylyn Foehring (Fort Madison, Iowa) and Marshana Coler (Mora, Minn.).

Men’s Cross Country: Austin Jacobs (West Des Moines, Iowa) and Brandon Hoffman (Woodstock, Ga.).

Football: Andrew Brimhall (Cordova, Tenn.), Josh Lohn (Sparta, Mo.), Mitch McHenry (Republic, Mo.) and Tommy Meyer (West Plains, Mo.).

Volleyball: Mallory Sidwell (Springfield, Mo.), Morgan Sidwell (Springfield, Mo.), Shelby Wilson (Moline, Ill.), Genelle Trowbridge (Bentonville, Ark.) and Megan Prost (Green Bay, Wis.).
