Men's basketball moves up to 11th in NAIA-I national poll

Springfield, Mo. – The Evangel University men’s basketball rose two places in the NAIA-I national poll and are ranked #11 nationally this week. Evangel is 13-4 and 6-1 in the Heart of America conference. Last week, the Crusaders went 2-0 with an 80-58 win over Avila and a 76-66 win at 24th ranked Culver-Stockton.  The #11 ranking is the highest Evangel has been ranked in NAIA-I since they moved to division I in 2008-09.

The Crusaders take on 25th ranked MidAmerica Nazarene on Thursday in their next game. The two teams are tied for first place in the HAAC with 6-1 league records. Game time is 7:30 p.m. in Olathe, Kan.
