EU vs. MNU with 1st place at stake: Evangel travels to MidAmerica Nazarene for a game Thursday night with sole possession of first place in the Heart of America conference at stake. Both teams are tied for first in the league with 6-1 conference records.

Evangel is 13-4, 6-1 in the HAAC and are ranked 11th in NAIA-I. The #11 national ranking is Evangel’s highest in NAIA-I since the Crusaders moved up a division in 2008-09. The Crusaders are coming off of a win at 24th ranked Culver-Stockton 76-66 on Saturday and have won five straight games.

MidAmerica Nazarene is 14-5, 6-1 in the conference and are ranked 25th nationally in NAIA-I. The Pioneers won Saturday at Missouri Valley 111-109 in triple overtime.

The Pioneers lead the all-time series 31-30 and won both meetings last year. The Crusaders swept the season series from MidAmerica Nazarene 2-0 in 2010-11.
