Olathe, Kan. – 10th ranked MidAmerica Nazarene won their seventh straight game with a 65-50 on Evangel at Bell Arena in Olathe, Kansas Thursday night.
The Crusaders led for most of the first half and owned an 18-11 lead midway through the first half before the Pioneers went on an 18-4 run to go up 29-23 at halftime.
Evangel guard Emily Akins led all scorers with 23 points. Kelsey Balcom had 12 points to lead MidAmerica Nazarene.
MidAmerica Nazarene owned a 43-34 rebound advantage and had 17 offensive rebounds.
Evangel dropped their third straight and fell to 4-9 and 3-4 in the Heart of America conference. The Pioneers improved to 17-2 and 7-1 in the conference.
Evangel returns home Saturday to play Peru State. Tipoff is 2 p.m. at the Ashcroft Center.
