Women’s basketball at Central Methodist: Evangel women’s basketball travels to Central Methodist for a conference game on Thursday night.

Evangel is 4-10, 3-5 in the Heart of America conference and will look to snap a four-game losing streak. The Crusaders lost at home Saturday to Peru State 66-60. Evangel enters play Thursday in sixth place in the HAAC.

Central Methodist is ranked 23rd nationally in NAIA-I. The Eagles are 17-3, 6-3 in the conference and in third place in the league. Central Methodist lost in double overtime Saturday at Baker 82-79. The Eagles’ 17 wins already matches their victory total from last season which was the most wins in a decade for the program.

Evangel handed Central Methodist one of their three losses on the season with a 63-57 win at the Ashcroft Center on Nov. 29. The Crusaders lead the all-time series 50-24.
