Evangel home vs. #16 Benedictine: For the second straight game Evangel will play a ranked opponent as they take on 16th ranked Benedictine at the Ashcroft Center Saturday afternoon.
Thursday the Crusaders lost at 23rd ranked Central Methodist 61-49 and will look to snap a five-game losing streak. Evangel is 4-11 and 3-6 in the Heart of America conference. Their last win came at home on Jan. 5 against Graceland.
Benedictine is in a first place tie in the conference standings with MidAmerica Nazarene. The Ravens are 9-1 in the HAAC and 19-3 overall. Benedictine is coming off of a 69-48 win over Graceland on Saturday. They have won six straight games and their only loss in the league was to MidAmerica Nazarene.
The Ravens beat Evangel in the earlier meeting this season, 64-52 in Atchison, Kan. on Dec. 1. Evangel leads the all-time series 34-15 and Benedictine went 2-1 against Evangel last season.
