Evangel hosts Benedictine: Evangel hosts Benedictine in a Heart of America conference game on Saturday.

The Crusaders enter Saturday’s game in a first place tie in the Heart of America conference with MidAmerica Nazarene. Evangel is 15-5 and 8-2 in the league. MNU is at Graceland on Saturday. The Crusaders have won seven of their last eight games and won Thursday at Central Methodist 71-61.

Benedictine is tied for the third in the conference with a 15-6 overall record and a 7-3 league mark. The Ravens won Thursday at Graceland 63-51. Benedictine has won six of their last seven and has not lost back-to-back games all season. The Ravens lead the conference in points allowed (58.7 ppg) and opposing field goal percentage (.383).

Evangel won in Atchison, Kansas on Dec. 1 earlier this year with a 71-58 win at Benedictine. The Crusaders lead the all-time series 37-15 and split the season series last year.
