Springfield, Mo. – The Evangel University men’s basketball went 2-0 last week but fell two spots in the NAIA-I national poll from 19th to 21st.
The Crusaders picked up wins at Central Methodist 71-61 and an overtime win at home over Benedictine 73-69.
Evangel is 16-5 and is tied for first in the Heart of America conference with a 9-2 league record. They have won three straight and eight of their last nine games.
MidAmerica Nazarene, tied for first with the Crusaders, is 17-6 and ranked 17th nationally.

The Crusaders play again Saturday at Baker. Tipoff is at 4 p.m. in Baldwin City, Kan.
