Baldwin City, Kan.- Evangel had a 47-46 lead at Baker with nine minutes remaining but went on a six minute scoreless spell and the Wildcats outscored the Crusaders 24-5 down the stretch to win 70-52 Saturday.

Sierra McSpadden led with 18 points while Emily Akins added 17. Rece Haddlin led all scorers with 19 points.

Evangel trailed 30-27 at halftime. Baker owned a 37-23 rebound advantage.

Baker won their fifth straight game while the Crusaders dropped their seventh straight. The Wildcats improved to 16-8 and 9-3 in the Heart of America conference. Evangel fell to 4-13 and 3-8 in the conference.

Evangel returns home Thursday to play Missouri Valley. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m. at the Ashcroft Center.
