Men's basketball moves to 17th in NAIA national poll

Springfield, Mo. – The Evangel University men’s basketball jumped to 17th in this week’s NAIA-I national poll.

The Crusaders won their lone game last week with a 76-69 win at Baker. Evangel is 17-5 overall, 10-2 in the Heart of America conference and enter this week in first place with a one-game lead over MidAmerica Nazarene. The Pioneers, who lost Saturday at Central Methodist, are ranked 25th this week while Culver-Stockton was one point shy of re-entering the top 25.

The Crusaders are at home Thursday hosting Missouri Valley in a conference game. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m. at the Ashcroft Center.
