Springfield, Mo. – Evangel University indoor track had several runners from their women’s team compete at Oklahoma Baptist last weekend and sprinter Hannah Cotten broke a school record in the 60 meter hurdles.
Cotten, a senior but competing for the first time with Evangel in her career, broke an Evangel record in the event with a time of 9.44 in the preliminary round. She edges a mark she set the previous week when she ran a 9.47 at Central Missouri.
Cotten was sixth in the finals of the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.62.
In other news at the meet, Stormie Carter finished seventh in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:47.42.
Evangel’s competes again this weekend in the Heart of America conference championship meet on Feb. 15-16 at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa.
