Springfield, Mo. – Evangel had their three-game winning streak snapped in a 57-53 home loss to Culver-Stockton Saturday.

The Crusaders rallied from nine down but missed on a chance to tie the game in the closing minute.

Emily Akins led all scorers with 19 points while Sierra McSpadden added 15 for the Crusaders.

The Wildcats improved to 13-13 and 8-8 in the Heart of America conference while Evangel dropped to 7-14 and 6-9 in the league.

Evangel is at home on Monday hosting Baker. Tipoff is at 6 p.m. in the Ashcroft Center.
