Oklahoma City, Okla. – Evangel completed a three-game sweep at Mid-America Christian with a 13-7 win in Oklahoma City Saturday. The scheduled doubleheader changed to a single, nine-inning game due to winter weather.

Evangel 2B Michael Headlee went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, three runs scored and three RBIs. Darrin Francis went 3 for 3 with two walks, and three RBIs.

Sam Garrison got the win for the Crusaders in relief pitching the last 4.2 innings. He did not allow an earned run while allowing just three hits, three walks and he struck out three.

The Crusaders improved their record to 9-1 while Mid-America Christian fell to 0-8.

Evangel returns to Oklahoma for a doubleheader Tuesday at Oklahoma Baptist.
