Men's basketball moves to #10 in NAIA-I national poll

Springfield, Mo. – The Evangel University men’s basketball is ranked 10th nationally in this week’s NAIA-I coaches’ poll. The #10 national ranking is Evangel’s highest ever since the Crusaders moved to NAIA-I in 2008-09.

The Crusaders are 21-5, in first place in the Heart of America conference with a 14-2 record. Evangel went 2-0 last week with a road win at Avila 56-46 and a 79-78 overtime win over 23rd ranked Culver-Stockton.

Evangel is scheduled to play MidAmerica Nazarene Thursday at 7:30 at the Ashcroft Center with first place in the HAAC on the line. The Pioneers are ranked 20th in this week’s NAIA-I poll and are one back behind Evangel in the league standings as they are 21-7 and 13-3 in the league.

Culver-Stockton is ranked 25th in this week’s national poll giving the Heart of America conference three ranked teams.
