Freshman Brittany Arnold hit her first colligate home hun a two run shot and senior pitcher Lenzie Boring got the complete game win allowing 2 unearned runs on 2 hits, striking out 8 while walking none.

Batesville, Ark. – The Crusaders went on an offensive explosion in the second game of the Lyon College Tournament defeating host Lyon 15-3 in five innings. Junior pitcher Brooke Brenton got the win improving her record to 2-0 on the season. Brenton pitched all five innings allowing three earned runs on five hits. Sophomore Bethany Bacon went 3-3 with two home runs and 5 RBIs. Brittany Arnold hit her second home run in as many games going 3-4 with 2 RBIs and senior Marriana Nelson went 2-4 with a two run home run.

Batesville, Ark. – The Crusaders continued their offensive onslaught defeating University of the Ozarks 16-1 in five innings in their final game of the day. Senior pitcher Lenzie Boring picked up her second win of the day pitching 4 scoreless innings, allowing no hits striking out 4 while walking none. Sophomore Jasmine Godwin pitched the fifth inning allowing one run on two hits. Brittany Arnold hit her third Home Run in as many games going 3-4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Freshman Katie Tollefson went 3-4 with 2 RBIs, junior Shelby Hoffman went 3-3 with an RBI, and sophomore Jessica Jett went 2-3 with a bases clearing double and two run home run and 5 RBIs.
The Crusaders play again in Springfield verses Lyon College on Wednesday February 27. Game times are TBA.
