Peru, Neb. – Evangel rallied from 19 down early in the second half to pull within seven with less than two minutes to play but Peru State pulled away for a 64-52 win over the Crusaders.

Sierra McSpadden had 16 points and had a career high 15 rebounds for Evangel while Emily Akins added 15 points.  Adaugo Osuala led all scorers with 23 points for the Bobcats.

Evangel trailed 36-23 at halftime and fell behind 44-25 early in the second half before the Cruaders chipped away to pull within 57-50 with 1:56 remaining.

Evangel closes out the regular season Monday at the Ashcroft Center against MidAmerica Nazarene. The game was originally scheduled for Feb. 21 but had been postponed by winter weather. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m.
