Springfield, Mo. –  Evangel split a doubleheader Thursday with MidAmerica Nazarene with a win in game one 2-1 but a loss 15-0 in game two.

In game one, the Crusaders scored two runs in the second inning to take a 2-1 lead. Evangel tied the game with an RBI double by Kari Tall-Domingos, then took the lead on a hit by Mikaela Scott. Lenzie Boring (8-3) got the win going 7 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 run with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts.

The Pioneers banged out 21 hits in a 15-0 win in the second game. MidAmerica Nazarene got home runs from Tianna George and Lynsey Keith. Keith went 5 for 6 at the plate with 6 RBIs. Taylor Pearcy (5-2)shut out the Crusaders on one hit.

Evangel is at home again on Saturday when they host Avila at 1 p.m. at the Evangel Softball Complex.
