Lamoni, Iowa – Evangel snapped a four-game losing streak and swept Graceland in a road doubleheader Thursday winning 3-1 in 10 innings and 8-0 in 5 innings in the second game.

Evangel and Graceland went scoreless for nine innings before Evangel got on the board posting three runs in the 10th. The Crusaders got RBI singles in the inning from Marianna Nelson, Lauren Bunch-Bright and Shelby Hoffman. Evangel starter Lenzie Boring allowed a run in the 10th, but hung on for the win going all 10 innings allowing just 3 hits and 1 runs with 3 walks and 11 strikeouts.

The Crusaders won game two with an 8-0 win in 5 innings. Evangel took advantage of 8 Graceland errors as Kari Tall-Domingos went 3 for 4 at the plate with a home run and 3  RBIs. Lauren Bunch-Bright went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs. Brooke Brenton got the win with a two-hit shutout.

Evangel improved to 26-12 and 9-7 in the conference. Graceland dropped to 9-21 and 5-11.

The Crusaders end the regular season and will honor their senior players on Saturday when they host Missouri Valley at 1 p.m. at the Evangel Softball Complex.
