Amy Grossklag named ITA-NAIA All-American

Springfield, Mo. – Evangel women’s tennis player Amy Grossklag was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association NAIA All-American. To be named an ITA-NAIA All-American, singles players must be ranked in the top 20 nationally.

Grossklag, a sophomore from Bonita Springs, Florida, went 14-1 in singles play with her only loss coming in the NAIA National Championship Tournament to a player ranked 10th nationally.  Grossklag was named Player of the Year in the American Midwest / Heart of America / TranSouth conference group and helped her team to an 11-4 record and an NAIA National Tournament bid. She advanced to the NAIA/ITA individual championships last fall finishing fourth nationally. She was named a First Team NAIA All-American earlier this year. 

Grossklag was honored as an honorable mention All-American selection last year in the NAIA.
