A perennial power in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, Evangel women's basketball has

  • Won eight conference championships
  • Finished in the top five in all but four of the 25 years they have been members of the HAAC posting a 325-153 all-time conference record
  • Earned 10 berths in the NAIA National Tournament and advanced to the National Semfinal round twice and the Quarterfinals four times
  • 82 players have won all-conference honors including 34 first team
  • 29 players have won NAIA All-America awards (11 first team)
  • 31 players have earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards
  • Head Coach Leon Neal has been named the conference Coach of the Year six times and is in the Springfield Area Sports Hall of Fame
