Welcome to my bio page. Our athletic department has created my position to establish corporate partnerships with our programs. We have the ability to drive traffic to all types of businesses in Southwest Missouri and beyond through radio, promotions, visible stadium signs, print ads, and much more. With the tremendous success of our programs over the last several years, Evangel sports can play an important role in a winning marketing plan.

Job Responsibilities: Sell parntership opportunities to businesses for the Evangel University Athletic Department, forge business relationships between Evangel Athletics and area companies, pursue innovative and revenue generating promotions, serve as broadcast coordinator and play-by-play voice of Crusaders sports on radio and the internet, handle all sponsor relations and account management for all corporate partners.

Favorite Thing About Work: It's not really work, it is mostly fun: broadcasts bring the excitement of Crusaders sports to an audience in several media outlets, the development of business partnerships with out athletics program advances the success of our sports teams and our partners, and interacting with a variety of talented students through a couple of classes is fun as well.

Originally From: Springfield, MO
Personal Information: Ed returned to his native Springfield, Missouri after working in minor league professional sports for seven years. Beach broadcast Crusaders sports while a student at Drury University from 1988 to 1992. He then worked at radio station KBTN in Neosho broadcasting news and sports. In 1994, he was a public relations and broadcast assistant for the Memphis Chicks (Double-A Kansas City Royals). He also served as broadcaster for the Harrisburg Hammerheads (Continental Basketball Association) in 1994-95. For three years, Beach was the Director of Broadcasting / Media Relations for the Knoxville Smokies (Double-A Toronto Blue Jays) and served in the same capacity for the Peoria Chiefs (Midwest League, St. Louis Cardinals) from 1998-2000. He also had similar duties for the 2000-2001 United Hockey League champion Quad City Mallards. Prior to coming to Evangel, he was part of the office staff of the Springfield Spirit Jr. A hockey franchise in their first season in Springfield.
