Dr. Martindale has presented papers at national and regional meetings of Society of Biblical Literature. Areas of teaching interest include Genesis, Judges, Psalms, Gospel of Mark, spiritual formation, and Buddhism. He joined the Evangel University faculty in the fall of 1999. Dr. Martindale, an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God since 1978, has been involved in pastoral ministry for over twelve years. He has served as a senior pastor in central Texas for seven years, and he has worked in campus missions, leading Chi Alpha on two university campuses. Dr. Martindale has been involved in summer ministry in Southeast Asia, and he continues to encourage students to live, study, and serve in Asia. Dr. Martindale and Susan Skiles were married in 1973. Susan serves as an Academic Advisor at Missouri State University. In their spare time, they enjoy travel and antique shopping.
