Professional Information: Dr. Martindale received a B.A. degree in Christian Ministry from Southwestern Assemblies of God College in 1974 and a B.S. degree in Greek from the University of Texas in 1983. He holds an M.A. in Theology from St. Mary’s University and a Ph.D. in Religion from Baylor University. He has presented papers at national and regional meetings of Society of Biblical Literature. Areas of teaching interest include Genesis, Judges, Psalms, Gospel of Mark, spiritual formation, and Buddhism. Dr. Martindale joined the faculty of Evangel University in the fall of 1999. Dr. Martindale was ordained with the Assemblies of God in 1978 and has been involved in pastoral ministry for over twelve years. He served seven years as a senior pastor in central Texas. He has also labored in the area of home missions, with over eight years in campus missions. Dr. Martindale has been involved in summer service work in Southeast Asia, and he serves as Asia Pacific Rerpresentative for Student Missions, A/G schools. Dr. Martindale married Susan Skiles in 1973. She serves as an Academic Advisor at Missouri State University. They enjoy travel and antique shopping.
