Gary is currently the Chief Information Officer and member of the President’s Cabinet for Evangel University. He is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt leader, and executive consultant. Gary has extensive global operational experience as Vice President for Client Operations and Strategic Services Delivery for Xerox Corporation where he led organizations as large as 700+ people and managed annual revenues of $540M.
Prior to Xerox, Gary worked as a Senior Operations and Lean Six Sigma Deployment Manager for White Cap Construction Supply, who at the time was owned by The Home Depot. He also served in the United States Marine Corps.
As a VP, Gary’s organization grew revenues and profits consistently. He also led the development and implementation of continuous improvement training for his organization including on-line training curriculum. Gary was awarded the Xerox President’s Club award from 2009-2011. Over his career, Gary has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe and Asia including holding operational responsibilities in Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo, London, and Paris. His leadership experience includes financial management (large P&Ls), organizational strategy development and execution, managing large organizations, performance improvement, human capital management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, team development, change leadership, organizational effectiveness, and project management.
He has successfully worked over twenty operational improvement engagements as a Performance Improvement Consultant with several Fortune 200 clients including Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Microsoft, Cisco, Northrop Grumman, Bank of America, IBM, NewsCorp, and many others. Working with Bank of America, Gary saved over $2M in costs while improving productivity by 30% in Bank of America’s print, distribution and mail operations. This project was briefly mentioned in BusinessWeek (Now Bloomberg BusinessWeek) magazine.
Gary earned his B.A. in Business Administration with emphasis in Organizational Management from Vanguard University in Southern California. He is currently finishing his Masters in Health Administration from the University of Southern California. He is a published author (Relevance in the Workplace: Using the Bible to Impact your Job) and is also published in several periodicals and on-line resources. Gary and his wife Debra have been married for 24 years and have two grown children, and one grandson. They currently reside in Springfield, Missouri.
