Salem, Ore. – Evangel University was one of nine teams still on the course when play was suspended Tuesday at the NAIA National Championship Tournament at the Creekside Gold Club in Salem, Oregon.
Springfield, Mo. – The Evangel University softball has four players named to the NAIA Academic All-American list. To achieve the honor, student-athletes must have between a 3.5 to 4.0 cumulative grade point average and be at least a junior in academic status.
Springfield, Mo. – Evangel University women’s tennis player Amy Grossklag was named an honorable mention NAIA All-American today by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Springfield, Mo. – As Evangel University hosted graduation ceremonies on May 4, academic departments announced their Graduates-of-the-Year in various fields of study. Evangel student-athletes claimed 14 of those awards from eight different academic departments and three other students who had at one time been on an Evangel sports roster also won similar honors.
Springfield, Mo. – Evangel University women’s tennis had five players named to the All-Heart of America conference team with two players named as 1st Team selections.
Evangel is part of the Heart of America Athletic Conference and has intercollegiate sports teams for men in football, basketball, baseball, track and field, cross-country and golf (there is also club-level soccer for men). Women have volleyball, basketball, softball, track and field, cross-country and tennis. Crusader athletes are also actively involved in outreach through our Athletic Ministries program.
