Hi! My name is Charis pronounced 'kuh-reece' like 'kuh-rizma' (charisma). My husband (Mason) and I moved to Springfield from Dallas, where we worked at SAGU. Mason was an Admissions Counselor and I was the Career Services Office Coordinator, so I'm familiar with Student Development. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me or stop me if ya see me! I'm excited to be a part of the Evangel family.

Favorite Thing About Work: I'm excited for the opportunity to have a platform to pour into young women and students what God has poured into me through some of the toughest of journeys. Building relationships, empowering my student leaders as daughters of God and women to lead well, and pointing them to the foundation of where their identity must be found is my heart. I look forward to love getting to life with them, lead them, watch them grow, and have lots of pure, joy-filled fun. I think it makes Jesus' heart happy too.

Originally From: Hammond , LA

Personal Information: My husband, Mason, and I met at Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX. We have been married for 6 years and have 2 little boys in heaven, Malachi and Zadok, who are a part of our family, though not here with us. Both of our parents live in Louisiana and, between us, have siblings in Wyoming, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Georgia, and Florida. We've lived in Springfield for 3 years, God truly being the reason we moved. Mason is a barber at White Stag Barber Co here in Springfield and I previously worked at Great Circle working with homeless youth and families. I enjoy writing, laughing, coffee, reading, singing, and hot tea, all of which also fall into how I self-care... along with spin class, chiropractic care, and massages. I also love cooking and picnics and always have a quilt in my trunk for that purpose alone.
