Professional Information: Dr. Eric Jackson joined the faculty of Evangel University and Southwest Baptist University in 2009. Eric earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at The University of Missouri – Kansas City, a Master of Music degree at Indiana University, and the Bachelor of Music degree from Missouri State University.
Eric is an active performer in the Springfield region as a member of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Regional Opera, and is a founding member of the Evangel University Brass Quintet. He also performs with community groups including local theaters, the Missouri Philharmonic, and area churches.
Dr. Jackson has been teaching for over a decade. His students often win awards in regional and state competitions, and many have continued their education in colleges and universities across the county with music scholarships.
Eric's primary teachers include Donna Johnson, Lisa Casey, Myron Bloom, Ellen Campbell, and Martin Hackleman.
