Job Responsibilities: The Director of Counseling Services facilitates the community counseling program at Evangel University and serves directly under the Vice President for Student Development. This person performs various duties assigned by the Vice President for Student Development in the administration of counseling personnel, programs, and services. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 1. To supervise the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the operations of the Counseling Services Department. 2. To administrate and provide community counseling services for the eligible members of the Evangel University campus community. 3. To organize and provide services to assist in campus psychological emergencies. Acute crisis intervention and emergency counseling are available 24 hours a day through Counseling Services professional staff. 4. To provide consultation and assistance in Student Development programming. 5. To provide consultations with administration, faculty, and/or staff regarding students as permitted by professional ethics and legal statute. 6. To provide campus programming of a preventive and restorative nature. 7. To administrate the master’s degree level practicum counselor training program as determined on a semester by semester basis.
