Welcome to the Criminal Justice Program! The purpose of our C.J. program is to prepare students to obtain positions in the multifaceted field of Criminal Justice. This includes but not limited to, Law Enforcement, Juvenile Justice System, Probation and Parole, and the Correctional System. Additionally, a degree in Criminal Justice also prepares students for further advancement and leadership, as well as graduate school. Professional Information: I have a Master of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Lincoln University, Jefferson City, Missouri. During the course of my law enforcement career I have also completed more than 2700 hours of law enforcement training provided by various law enforcement agencies and police academies.

Job Responsibilities: I teach courses in Criminal Justice and Sociology and serve as the director of the Criminal Justice Program. I also manage all Criminal Justice practicums and internships. Other duties consist of serving as the academic advisor for criminal justice students, serve as the sponsor for the Criminal Justice Club, (Theta Alpha Delta), firearms instructor, and participate in new student recruitment.

Org Memberships: I believe public service is important, especially for the Christian community. These are some of the organizations which I have served (past and present). Police Citizens Review Board, City of Springfield City Utilities Advisory Council Rotary - Springfield Southeast Club Oversight Committee for the Greene County Sheriff's Department Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Rogersville Chamber of Commerce Traffic Advisory Board for the City of Springfield Mayor's Commission for Human Rights, City of Springfield Citizen's Advisory Board for Probation and Parole Missouri State Investigators Association.

Publications: Author/Editor of the book entitled Church Safety and Security, A Practical Guide Author of the article entitled Could It Happen in Your Church? Enrichment Journal Articles published by Group Publishing's Volunteer Central website. Contributor to several articles published by The Dallas Moring News newspaper.

Favorite Thing About Work: THE STUDENTS! I love hanging out with college students as well as the interaction in the classroom.

Personal Information: I am married to Brenda, who serves as the City Clerk for the City of Springfield, and we have two daughters who graduated from Evangel. Angela is working in the property management industry, and Jennifer teaches at Nixa (Missouri) High School and coaches girls basketball. I also have two wonderful grandsons; Wyatt and Aiden.

Other: I own two businesses, Robert Cirtin Investigations, LLC, and Safe at Church, LLC. Robert Cirtin Investigations provides investigative and consulting services to government, businesses, law firms, and religious organizations. Safe at Church provides consulting services to churches and other religious organizations regarding safety and security issues. Continuing to be involved in the criminal justice system allows me to remain current in the field which is beneficial to my teaching and our students. I have also hired graduates as investigators with my company.
